In June, for one day, Palackého Street will be completely free of cars and traffic. Think it’s impossible? Come see for yourself on Saturday, June 22, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at the Korzo Palackého event. Trenčín 2026 and Trenčín na korze have organized a modern urban market with a rich accompanying program for both children and adults.
The Korzo Palackého event will stretch along the entire Palackého Street, from the Elizabeth Hotel building to the Piarist Gymnasium. We expect up to 70 vendor stalls featuring Slovak brands and original high-quality products, including clothing, cosmetics, toys, books, and much more. Delicious food and exciting activities for all ages will also be available.

Join us in exploring Palackého Street through a variety of activities hosted by local institutions and businesses. M. Rešetka Public Library is organizing a children's book swap, a reading room, and playful programming with Ozobot robots. The M. A. Bazovský Gallery will offer popular art workshops and interactive art games for both children and adults, free entry to exhibitions, and a curator-led tour of the current exhibition. At 4:00 PM, the gallery invites you to a presentation about the upcoming Center of Architecture in Trenčín. On this day, you can also participate in guided tours of the Piarist Gymnasium and sample local products at Potraviny nie Otravinách. Obchodík bez obalu is preparing workshops, and special Korzo products include ice cream from Oilá and pizza from Podzub.
We'll also take a look into the street's past with an exhibition of historical photographs and postcards from the archives of Milan Vrba and Richard Ščepka on the fence of the Gymnasium. Experience the street differently with a mobile app that turns it into an interactive playground with tasks and games. Join in creating a chalk mural on the road designed by students from the Trenčín School of Applied Arts. Dance your way down the street with a workshop that combines various dance styles. At the Institute of Participation Trenčín (IPT) booth, you can design your own version of Palackého Street.
Fun and Learning
The stage will feature a mix of entertainment and informative sessions. Enjoy children's theater performances and concerts by young talents like the excellent singer Sona Kmet and popular Trenčín musician Matúš Oravec. City curator Omar Mirza will broadcast his show "Na tému" live from Palackého on Rádio Devín. The creator of the new city document, the Public Space Manual, will also present it.
